Who may qualify
STAR+PLUS is the Texas Medicaid program for adults 65 and older and adults 21 and older with a disability. You may qualify if you:
- Have Texas Medicaid (including people who also have Medicare)
- Need help with daily activities like bathing, dressing or meals
- Live in El Paso County
What your caregiver can help with
- Bathing, grooming and dressing
- Preparing meals and help with eating
- Light housekeeping and laundry
- Medication reminders
- Walking, getting around the home, and errands
How it works

- We check your Medicaid plan and help you request services through your health plan.
- Your plan approves your hours, and we match you with a caregiver, often one who speaks your language.
